One of the things that sets Sandusky Central Catholic School apart from other schools in the area is our House System.  The primary purpose of the House System is to further the mission of Sandusky Central Catholic School by providing attention and care to all students while strengthening the sense of community and school spirit.  The Houses also enable students to proactively develop their own unique leadership skills.

Each House is comprised of a mix of students from grades 6 through 12. Students remain in the same House during their entire time at SCCS.  Each House has its own President and Vice President, and is divided in to four small groups.  Each small group has its own Junior or Senior group leaders as well as four Teacher Mentors, and they meet weekly in faith sharing communities.  Students from friendships and unique bonds that they might not have otherwise found.

Houses compete against one another in several areas:  GPA, Service Hours completed, fundraising for charities which promote Catholic values, and friendly athletic competitions. Through all the interaction and House activities during the school year, students develop a special identity with their House and the people in it.

The House System is advised by the Campus Minister, but the planning and execution of the System is completed by the House Cabinet which is composed of two to three Senior students.

Each House is named after a Catholic Saint:
Saint Augustine
Saint Thomas Aquinas
Saint Therese of Lisieux
Saint Jerome
Saint Francis deSales
Saint Anthony of Padua
