K-5 Summer Reading and Math

The summer reading and math program was put together to help keep your student's skills sharp over the summer.  The best way to be prepared for next school year is to take 20-30 minutes a day to read with your child, to your child or have your child read on their own.

Your child should keep track of the books they are reading on one of the charts provided in the links below.  When school starts, they can bring in their completed chart and exchange it for a prize.

Just as students benefit from reading throughout the summer, regular practice with problem solving, computation and math facts will strengthen and maintain mathematical gains made during the school year.  The goal is for your child to have fun thinking and working and to communicate mathematical ideas.
