For the past several years, the highlights of the annual tri-parish SummerFest have been the Mile for Mary Walk and the $5,000 Grand Prize Raffle.  The SummerFest will no longer be taking place, but both of these great traditions will continue on September 16th and 17th!

$5000 PANTHER GOLD RUSH RAFFLE
The $5,000 raffle has been re-named the Panther Gold Rush! The Gold Rush prize drawing will occur at halftime of the Panthers’ Homecoming game at Strobel Field at Cedar Point Stadium on Friday, September 16th.  Participants need not be present to win.  Tickets are just $1 each and the more you play, the better your chances are of winning!  You may return purchased tickets with payment in the envelope provided; please make checks payable to Sandusky Central Catholic School.  Tickets must be received on or before Friday, September 16th at 3:00pm. The Panther Gold Rush $5,000 winner will be notified by phone and announced at weekend Masses.

All proceeds from the Panther Gold Rush benefit the Sandusky Central Catholic School Tuition Assistance Fund.  Over 80 percent of SCCS students receive some form of tuition assistance.  This drive will help make a quality Catholic education affordable to families in our parishes and the surrounding areas.  With your help, Sandusky Central Catholic School can continue the mission of Strengthening the Body, Challenging the Mind and Enriching the Spirit of today’s youth.

MILE FOR MARY WALK
The 4th annual Mile for Mary Walk will start at 11am on Saturday, September 17th at Sts. Peter and Paul Church and travel to SCCS, St. Mary’s Church and Holy Angels Church, with participants stopping to pray a decade of the rosary at each location.  Our faith community will walk together carrying a rosary made of helium-filled balloons of red, blue, green, yellow, and orange representing our three parishes, our Catholic school, Edge, and Life Teen working together for Christ.  The procession will end in the small park between the school and St. Mary’s Church, with a choir performance and final blessing from Father Joseph Steinbauer.

We look forward to seeing you at the Mile for Mary and good luck in the Panther Gold Rush!
