"I believe that a faith-based education, such as the one provided at SCCS, is extremely valuable for the personal and spiritual growth of our students and community, enabling them to build and further develop their relationship with Christ and learn about Catholic principles, values and traditions."

Melanie Dix. “My name is Melanie Dix.  I have been a parishioner of Holy Angels Church since 1997.                My husband and I reside in Castalia and have 7 children, all of whom attend(ed) Sandusky Central Catholic School: Jadon (SMCC graduate 2016), Marina (SMCC graduate 2018), Jordon (SMCC graduate 2020), Sabrina (12th), Jusdon (9th), Marisah (7th), and Jase (SCCS preschool).  Currently I serve as a Mass Greeter, am on the Catholic Identity Committee, and assist with the Marriage Preparation team.”

”Previously, I have instructed Children’s Liturgy of the Word, helped with LifeTeen & Bereavement meals, and have been part of both Pastoral Council and Baptismal Preparation.  I have also served as a Core Team member for the Tri-Parish A.C.T.S. Retreats & assisted with the facilitating of the Tri-Parish Rosary Rally.  I believe a Catholic education is of tremendous value.  It is essential to ensure our children’s connection to Christ by enriching their spirits, while also providing a quality education in a faith-filled, family friendly environment.  In collaboration with parents, families, & our parishes; I believe Sandusky Central Catholic School takes on a considerable role & responsibility to its students and community, in the faith forming and strengthening of our children”

Gregg Peugeot and his wife, Sarah, have two children enrolled at SCCS: Natalie (Freshman) and Brody (4th grade). Gregg volunteers at SCCS as the 4th grade boys basketball coach and helps with the Panther Baseball Club.  Gregg works at CNA Insurance as a Healthcare Director in the Strategic Claim Unit. He graduated from the University of Akron in 2000 with a BS in Secondary Education, Mathematics & Political Science and received his law degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 2003.

“I am excited to continue the positive momentum created by the current Board, Administrators, Teachers and Staff.  It was impressive to see how well everyone worked through the unprecedented challenges that have been presented over the last year and a half.  I look forward to joining the board and helping to advance SCCS into the future in any way I can.  I highly value Catholic education and look forward to the future growth, development and success of SCCS."
