What are the regular school hours?
School starts at 7:40am. Dismissal times are as follows:
Preschool full day: 2:20pm
Kindergarten through 5th grade: 2:35 pm
6th grade through 12th grade: 2:46
Students in preschool through 5th grade may attend our Extended Day program until 6:00pm. There is a fee for this program.
What is the overall size of the school?
Sandusky Central Catholic School has 624 students enrolled in preschool through 12th grade. All students are one campus.
Is there a dress code at SCCS?
Yes. Students are required to wear school uniforms which vary depending on grade level and time of year.
Can I visit the campus?
Definitely! You can set up a Panther for a Day visit for your student anytime of year!
We love SCCS, but can we afford the tuition?
Over 60% of our families receive some type of financial assistance. Some students in Erie County may be eligible for full tuition scholarships through the Ohio EdChoice program. Will we have to repay the financial aid award?
No. Tuition assistance is in the form of grants that don’t have to be repaid.
Is there a school counselor on campus?
Yes, SCCS has a school counselor available to all students in grades preschool through 12.
Are teachers available for academic assistance?
Every teacher at Sandusky Central Catholic School is committed to helping students reach their academic potential. Teachers are always available to speak with parents regarding their student's progress and there are two regularly scheduled parent-teacher conference dates throughout the year. Teachers are normally available to assistance students before or after normal classroom hours when requested.
Is there a nurse on campus?
Yes, SCCS has a school nurse available to assist all students in grades preschool through 12.
Diocese of Toledo in Compliance Following Safe Environment Audit
The Diocese of Toledo participates in an annual audit to determine if our safe environment program, policies, and practices are in compliance with the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People. This year’s audit was performed on-site for the audit period of July 1, 2018 through September 30, 2021.
