Donald J. Schropp Gift

The SCCS Education Foundation would like to formally acknowledge the generous gift of over $241,000 bestowed by Mr. Donald J. Schropp, a 1937 graduate of St. Mary Central Catholic High School, who passed away May 27, 2013. Mr. Schropp outlined in his trust that these funds be used equally across the SCCS campus. This gift will help perpetuate, support and uphold the educational work of Sandusky Central Catholic School. Income from the Foundation’s funds are utilized each year to support the projects and programs necessary to advance the mission of SCCS by providing: tuition assistance, scholarships, teacher enrichment and capital improvements. Mr. Dan Moncher, President of the SCCS Education Foundation stated, “Sandusky Central Catholic School and the SCCS Education Foundation are forever grateful to the Schropp family for this generous bequest. Providing a secure financial future for Catholic education in Erie County continues to be sustained by gifts such as this. To be remembered by our past graduates truly helps the Foundation meet its mission.”
